Here at NewHorizons Open College we take your privacy and data protection considerations very seriously.
NewHorizons Open College Ltd will only require and keep on record a necessary information about students such as their name, address, contact telephone number, course/s being studied and level achieved. All information is to be given freely and with the consent of the student.
No details will be shared with outside agencies or persons unless it is felt that it is necessary for the health and well-being of the student or the general public.
All information is kept in a lockable, safe place and will only be referred to with regards to the student's study with NewHorizons Open College Ltd. All information will be kept for 5 years for future reference and is fully accessible to the student upon request. After 5 years all information will be shredded unless requested by the student.
Data Protection
NewHorizons Open College and staff members adhere to the Data Protection Act 1998 and any data disclosed to us will be kept in a confidential manner and contained in a safe, lockable and secure area away from public viewing. All information given by students will be kept for a minimum of 5 years for future reference and will be accessible to the student upon request at any point within this 5 year period of time. After this time all details will be shredded and discarded unless requested by the student.
Client confidentiality is very important to us, however if a student is seen to be in danger of harming themselves or others, this may be waived in order to protect the well-being and safety of the student or the public. NewHorizons Open College and its staff accept no responsibility for any actions taken by the student during or after the course.
A signed copy by the student of the disclaimer form will be kept by NewHorizons Open College as evidence that the student is fully aware of the above terms and conditions.
