General
NewHorizons Open College Ltd. (NewHorizons) is a profit making business promoting ethical holistic and spiritual health therapies. All contact with our students is done via distance learning and therefore no face to face contact occurs. All correspondance is through email, and postal communications.
All of our courses are designed to give relevant and precise (at the time of actual listing) information about the field of holistic therapy, to heighten awareness and enhance personal improvement only. NewHorizons and Nina Cree in no way personally accredit those that complete our courses as being capable, qualified or able to practice or teach in that particular field of study and any certification issued is merely to prove successful completion of a course and their standard of quality in completing the course through us.
NewHorizons and Nina Cree do not imply that students of the college should expect or will expect to gain paid employment or qualification for practicing from completing any of the courses or that completion will guarantee anything other than personal self advancement and awareness in the field of study they have chosen.
NewHorizons is not an actual physical college and therefore it does not have a campus. All contact between staff and students is completed via distance learning and can be made via email and postal communications. There is not an actual campus for students to attend or meet with tutors. Any certification given is given by us alone and only suggests completion of an in house course connected to us alone. All students are asked to read and accept the legal information printed here and are required to sign the terms and conditions disclaimer before acceptance and start of their chosen course so as to ensure students are aware of the services on offer by ourselves.
We do not offer refunds other than a 10 day money back guarantee (whereby the student will be asked to pay for the postage to return the course). After this point the full amount of the course or courses will be payable regardless of whether the student completes or passes the course.
Students are advised to send their coursework and assignments to their tutor via recorded delivery to provide proof of postage. Loss of coursework will unfortunately mean students will be required to complete it again in order to be awarded any certificate of completion. It will be the student's responsibility to make back-up copies of their work to prevent any work being totally lost in the postal system.
All students must complete their studies within one year of commencing their course to prevent incurring a further charge for tutorial support. A further charge of £49 will be payable for extra tutorial support if the deadline of one year is exceeded.
Certification will only be issued and accreditation given to students who complete and send back the enclosed order form with paid for postage for legal reasons. It is a requirement that the college have students' details and contact information for our records with their signature to state they have enrolled with us and accept our terms, conditions and the above information. Students failing to return this form will be unable to successfully complete their course or obtain their qualification in the subject studied.
